From Young's Lobster Pound to Uptown Charlotte

Our quest for the best seafood to serve to you at Sea Level in uptown Charlotte naturally includes lobster.  Time for a field trip to Belfast, Maine to visit Young’s Lobster Pound. Known as the Heart of Coastal Maine, Belfast is a sleepy, seaside town on Penobscot Bay, about 100 miles north of Portland.

Young’s is a four-generation family-run lobster source and restaurant. These folks ship live lobsters all over the world. And they’re lobsters they catch with their own fleet of lobster boats. We toured their facility, breathed the salty air, and enjoyed company around the table. Besides the joy of a fresh-catch lobster lunch, we found a devoted sourcing partner to help US bring YOU the freshest lobster we can find.
